Unit 4 - Cell Division, DNA, and Protein Synthesis (Chapters 10, 12, and 13)
Nov. 4/Nov. 5
-Skim through chapter 10 to get a feel for the information presented on Cell Division.
-Chapter 10.1 and 10.2 assignments from the text.
HW: Watch the first 6:30 of the Bozeman Science Video on "Cell Cycle and Mitosis." While watching the video, color in your cell cycle diagram (Part A and Part B) and answer these questions on the cell cycle. This video also shows some good examples of cell division.

Nov. 6/Nov. 7
-Quick review on why cells divide.
-Phases of the Cell Cycle Lab. If you are absent for the lab, make up can be done with this virtual lab. Fill out the data table and questions. Here are pictures of the phases. These are pictures of slides so you can count the cells in each phase of the cycle.
HW: Watch the Crash Course video on DNA and RNA. Stop at 6:20. Fill out as much of the DNA Labeling sheet as you can while watching the video.
